Amanda joined PALS in November 2011 and took the position of school manager in October 2015. She holds both a B.Sc. in Psychology from NUI Maynooth and an M.Sc. in Psychology (Applied Behaviour Analysis) from Trinity College Dublin. She is also the child protection officer of PALS and has training in first aid. During her masters degree Amanda specialised in promoting communication between children with autism using a picture exchange communication system (PECS). Amanda is part of the Behaviour Support Team and works under a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) to develop and facilitate Behaviour Support Plans to increase children’s appropriate behaviour and participation in the school day. She is currently working towards achieving certification as a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst.
