To become a parent gives you a feeling of achievement and parenting is a life long job. Every parent wishes to have a mentally and physically healthy baby. At times, children are born with high risk conditions due to poor maternal health during pregnancy and difficult deliveries/infections during delivery. Disorders due to heredity might lead to various conditions where children have intellectual disabilities, for example children with Sub-Average Intelligence, Cerebral Palsy, Seizure Disorder, Autism, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Down Syndrome etc.AMRITA-School for Special Children is not just another Special school. It is a realization of a long cherished dream for human service. It was started in 2009 with the mission for providing Rehabilitation Services to children with special needs.
