Arunodaya Special School
ARUNODAYA was started in the year 1995, as a project of VISTEEL MAHILA SAMITI. The school started with Mrs. Kamalesh Mehra, as Honorary President and 5 students, 3 teaching staff and 1 non-teaching staff in a two bed room house (C Type), with basic special education services. It is registered under The Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 with Regn. No. 129/1997. It was registered with the Disabled Welfare Department, Visakhapatnam District, Government of India. Our Certificate of Registration (No. 16 of 2004) was issued on 21-2-2005. Today, the school has its own specially designed building which is barrier - free. School has about 92 children, 5 trained special educators and other rehab professionals like physiotherapist, speech therapist, yoga therapist, part time teachers for art, music, dance and craft.
