Asha Children & Child Development Clinic
The âAsha Clinicâ has existed for last one decade (inaugurated in 2007) and initially provided services for newborns, children and adolescents. The Asha Clinic has provided services for Developmental Assessments and Parental Counseling for many years. The Clinic has now expanded to accommodate a Child Development Centre for Remedial Interventions. The Asha Child Care and Development Centre (ACCDC) is a One Stop Solution for Children and Adolescents with Developmental and Behavioral concerns such as Autism, Learning Disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, Intellectual Disabilities, Down Syndrome and Genetic Disorders, Speech and Language Dysfunctions, Poor Performance in Scholastic Skills, Sensory Processing Disorders, Sleep Disorders etc; and we provide guidance for Parenting Skills, Diet related Problems, Adolescent Health, Mental Health Concerns etc. A Multi Disciplinary Team consisting of Developmental Pediatrician, Clinical Psychologist (RCI Registered), Special Educators (RCI Registered), Physio â Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Interventionist, Pediatric Nutritionist work together towards improving the developmental concerns and behavioral issues of children visiting us. Each child receives Individualized One to One Remedial Interventions to improve the deficit skills. At ACCDC we only provide Evidence Based Therapies and do not encourage non scientific or trial methods for interventions. All our Interventions are Parent Mediated and we involve Parents for better understanding of the childâs deficit skills, the remedial interventions required, the brain stimulating activities, the sensory issues and incorporating all information in home environment for better achievement of skills and functioning. The American Association of Pediatrics and the Indian Academy of Pediatrics also recommends Multi Disciplinary Team with Inter Disciplinary Functioning for children and adolescents with developmental and behavioral concerns.Â
