Behala Naba Proyas
In the year 1988, Late Gauri Chatterjee started a small unit with 3 challenged children at her own residence. Single focus was on compassion, responsibility and services to the under privileged Mentally Challenged and Hearing Impaired special children. With the increase in the number of impaired children of different categories (Severe, Autistic, Down Syndrome, Mild, Multiple Disability and Hearing impaired) the services took the form of a regular special day school and was shifted to Behala.
