Chettinad Sath Sadhana
Chettinad Srihari Vikasam caters to children from 4 – 19 years with a wide range of disabilities like cerebral palsy, intellectual disability, language and speech deficits and autism spectrum disorders. Our focus is on providing a multi-dimensional programme which will lead to the holistic development of the child. Currently, the school offers various services like Early Intervention, Remedial Programmes, NIOS, Pre-Vocational and Vocational Programmes, to facilitate all round development. Additional activities with special techniques for music, art, drama, dance, yoga and outdoor games form an integral part of the curriculum. The aim is to provide a conducive, child centric environment that develops the ‘whole child’- emotionally, socially and cognitively. The Individualized Education Programme (IEP) brings out the best in each child, challenges them suitably and guides them to play a proactive and contributory role in the society. Each environment consists of a mixed age group, formed keeping individual needs in mind. The class sizes are small to provide each child with individual attention along with a social environment. The focus is on what children can do rather than what children cannot do. Each group is guided and supported by trained facilitators.
