Chrysalis
Chrysalis started with 6 children and 6 staff on the 11th June 2007 by Roshinipriya Charitable Trust to render services for children with Autism. Today, we have completed over 10 years, where we have constantly imparted, learned, unlearned and relearned for the betterment of the lives of children with Autism.Today, even though there is no community linked prevalence data about Autism spectrum disorder in India, it is a known fact that awareness in certain pockets in India has improved but not all children receive the services they need and proper diagnosis remains a challenge still.Chrysalis have nurtured to adopt an infancy to young adulthood approach for every individual and look at improving their quality of living considering all relevant needs. Sensitization, mainstreaming and overcoming attitudinal barriers remains a need in today’s trend too.To meet the growing need over the years, we have nurtured to cater to multiple disabilities. Today, we have children / young adults with different types of disabilities and widened our services from not only catering to improving ADL, academics, communication, sensory needs, sports, but also functional academics, economic independence and improved knowledge among families and communities.
