Dr Cornelia Bussmann
Dr Cornelia Bussmann
Dr Cornelia Bussmann is a specialist in paediatric and adolescent medicine, with a focus on neuropaediatrics. Dr Bussmann completed her medical training and specialist qualification at the Heidelberg University Hospital, where she worked as a Consultant in the Department of Neuropaediatrics of the University Paediatric Hospital between 2009 and 2015 and headed the Social Paediatric Centre (SPZ) between 2014 and 2015. In October 2015, at the ATOS Hospital in Heidelberg, she founded her Private Practice for Paediatric Neurology, which specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of the entire range of neuropaediatric clinical pictures, from early infancy to the age of majority. Dr Bussmann’s treatment emphases include, in particular, headaches and migraines in children, epilepsy in childhood and motor, speech, psychological and social developmental disorders from early infancy until pre-school age. Other neuropaediatric clinical pictures which Dr Bussmann treats in her Heidelberg private practice for paediatric neurology include febrile convulsions, infantile cerebral palsy (ICP), neuromuscular conditions and tic disorders. In the treatment of these clinical pictures, Dr Bussmann invariably takes the fact that each child is unique and each family has individual needs into consideration. For that reason, taking sufficient time for her young and older patients to be able to guarantee a treatment tailored to the particular needs of each individual child is very important to her.
