Hari ManoVikasa Kendram was started with an aim of providing education, shelter and treatment to physically and mentally challenged children belonging to lower economic section and those who are abandoned or neglected by parents and societyThey are provided with all basic amenities and facilities required for survival in the society along with special education, therapies and remedial services which would help bring themselves up and achieve their fullest potential. The centre tries to better the standard of living of the helpless, neglected and abandoned Physically Challenged and Mentally retorted children of Konaseema Delta area through providing basic needs like free shelter, food, clothing, medical aid, Special Education and Self-Employment Training and rehabilitation program in a planned manner.At the centre the child is assessed thoroughly in the areas of self help skills like gross motor, fine motor, time concept, writing and reading concept, etc and an Individual Education Plan (IEP) is designed based on child’s need. The special educators work on that IEP and parent of the child is also trained to act according to the IEP at home.
