Roodepark School
Roodepark School was initially named Touleierskool. The new school premises was situated in Maraisburg and the learners mostly lived in the areas Maraisburg, Langlaagte and Industria. Hence the name Marlandia. The school buildings in Maraisburg were occupied from the second term of 1976. On the 1st April 1991 the school moved from Maraisburg into the recently evacuated buildings of Hoërskool Ontdekkers which was situated on Clarendon Drive, just opposite the Ontdekkers Memorial Hospital. The name was changed to Roodepark being in Roodepoort.
