Sahara Special School
Father Tom finds it in his heart a great joy when he watches Megha play with the pieces of puzzle and get better each time or when Rohit runs faster than before or when Himansh learns a new poem. He runs a special school for children with special needs. Sahara Special School has been in operations for last 14 years and has been committed to work for the noble cause of serving the physically and mentally challenged children adding that the school has been truly instrumental in the promotion of welfare of the wards afflicted with such mental maladies. Father Tom says that organisations such as ours create awareness in the society about persons with disabilities besides training the parents of children with disabilities to look after their children in a scientific manner. He also presses upon the fact that more of these organisations should open up to reach each and every corner of the society, even to people who cannot afford such services. When asked about the difficulties or challenges he and his staff has to face, he gives a hearty smile and says “They are just like other kids; they play, laugh, cry, and make mischief; all they need is patience and a little bit of understanding.”
