Sigatoka Special school
Sigatoka Special school is about looking after and educating children with special needs who have various disabilities to be independent members of society.Sigatoka School for Special Education was established in 1973 opposite the post office. 1985 the land was donated and the school was constructed on its current site. School has continued to grow as children within the community needs are met. Currently 5 teachers, 5 classes and 58 children with ages ranging from 5-18 years . School caters for children with multiple special needs such as literacy impairment, speech impairment, autism, Down syndrome, specific seminary disabilities. The teachers provide the children with innovative education and life skill programs to equip them for a life outside school.
