St Killians Special School
St. Killians is a primary school which specialises in providing programmes designed to cater for the individual needs, talents and potential of pupils with a range of specific educational difficulties. Each child's uniqueness is valued within the school, which fosters a secure, caring and positive environment to enable pupils to develop their full potential.<br /> The school values the contribution of all staff in the creation of such an environment and in facilitating the pupils to find within themselves the strengths to deal with their educational, personal, emotional, social and spiritual difference. We are a Department of Education School, which is under the patronship of the Catholic BishopCork and Ross.<br /> Children attend from Cork City and County and are transported to school by taxi, mini-bus, or parents on a daily basis. All children have Individual Educational Plans, with targets set by both educational, health professionals, parents and the pupils where possible.
