Viklang Shishu Prashikshan Kendra (VSPK), an unit of Tapan Rehabilitation Society, Karnal is an residential institution which caters to the needs of mentally challenged children and young adults in the age group of 3-30 years specially those with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Learning Disability, etc.The students in the centre are grouped based on their age and mental ability into primary, secondary, pre-voctional and vocational group and are trained accordingly. Speech & physiotherapy is also provided as per child’s need.Mentally challenged young adults are provided with job oriented training or self employment training as part of vocational training so that they can be rehabilitated successfully. This is one of the schools for autism in Haryana. The children are trained in making of candle, art & craft items, soft toys, masala etc. They are also trained in job oriented courses such as beauty & culture, computers, tailoring and cutting.
