Zoe School
Zoe School was started by people who understand this and who saw the great need these children have. Someone needed to see what they are capable of and what can become of them. Someone needed to see past the diagnoses and the poor marks in class.Zoe School is a remedial (special) school in Heidelberg and we opened our doors on 21 January 2014. Our main aim is to help children who are having difficulty at school. These children come from various types of backgrounds. Coming from an affluent home and having all the toys and opportunities in the world does not safeguard you from having a learning disability.We are located in Heidelberg, but we serve a much greater area than this. The nearest special schools are in Alberton and Vereeniging, which makes it difficult for parents. Our children vary in age from 4 years into high school and function on different levels. We have children with moderate difficulty or disability (such as autism), but we also help children with normal to superior IQs who have learning problems.
